Latest data shows that by Week 11 of 2026, cumulative sales of the Huawei Mate 80 series have reached 4.5301 million units.
Since its launch in November 2025, the Mate 80 series has remained in high demand, with the Pro models proving especially popular. Strong demand initially strained supply of the Kirin 9030 chips, but production capacity has since improved, stabilizing overall availability.
Huawei’s official store indicates that most models and mainstream storage versions are now in stock, with only the Mate 80 Pro Max 16GB+1TB variant still sold out.
Despite rising storage prices pushing Android flagship prices higher, Huawei has taken a contrarian pricing strategy:
- Mate 80 Standard Edition starts at ¥4,699 (¥800 lower than the previous generation).
- Mate 80 Pro starts at ¥5,999 (¥500 lower).
- Mate 80 Pro Max starts at ¥7,999 (¥500 lower).
- Mate 80 RS Master Edition starts at ¥11,999 (unchanged).
In terms of core specs, the Mate 80 Standard Edition uses the Kirin 9020, while the Pro, Pro Max, and RS Master Edition debut the Kirin 9030 series.
- Mate 80 Pro 12GB → Kirin 9030
- Mate 80 Pro 16GB → Kirin 9030 Pro
- Mate 80 Pro Max & RS Master Edition → Kirin 9030 Pro
This combination of strong demand, improved supply chain, and competitive pricing has positioned the Mate 80 series as one of Huawei’s most successful flagship launches in recent years.
